About The Position

The Merchandising Associate helps deliver a highly satisfying customer experience by engaging with customers and embodying the company’s customer experience principles. The role maintains a clean, organized, and safe store environment and follows operational, merchandise, loss prevention, and merchandising standards. Associates may be cross-trained in multiple store areas to support business needs.

The position also supports a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect; processes customer transactions and merchandise according to established procedures; promotes credit and loyalty programs; and participates in store recovery, cleanliness, safety awareness, and shrink-reduction efforts. Other duties may be assigned.

Responsibilities

• Engage and interact with customers to provide a highly satisfying customer experience and model established customer experience practices with internal and external customers.
• Support a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect.
• Accurately ring customer purchases and returns and count change according to operating procedures.
• Promote credit and loyalty programs.
• Maintain the merchandising philosophy and follow established merchandising procedures and standards.
• Accurately process and prepare merchandise for the sales floor according to company procedures and standards.
• Initiate and participate in store recovery as needed throughout the day.
• Maintain organizational, cleanliness, and recovery standards for the sales floor and participate in maintaining and cleaning the entire store.
• Provide and accept recognition and constructive feedback.
• Adhere to labor laws, policies, and procedures.
• Support and participate in store shrink-reduction goals and programs.
• Participate in safety awareness and maintain a safe environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
