GMMB has a hybrid work schedule with at least three days in office presence; additional in office days as needed. This position is based in Washington, DC. Salary range - $55,000 - $65,000 This is a full-time, salaried and benefits eligible position to run through mid-November 2026. GMMB is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Associate Media Buyer to support political advertising campaigns during the 2026 election cycle. This is an entry-level opportunity designed for candidates eager to learn the fundamentals of media buying and grow within a fast-paced, mission-driven environment. With hands-on training and mentorship, you will help execute media buys across multiple platforms in support of impactful political campaigns.

Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • Internship experience, coursework, or exposure to political campaigns, advertising, media, or a related field.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a willingness to learn negotiation fundamentals.
  • Solid organizational skills and the ability to prioritize in a deadline-driven environment.
  • A proactive attitude, strong work ethic, and enthusiasm for learning on the job.

  • Has a strong interest in politics and stays informed on news and developments related to key races, especially the 2026 election cycle.
  • Is eager to learn the fundamentals of political media buying through hands-on training and mentorship.
  • Is highly organized and able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines with attention to detail.

  • Is curious about new tools and technologies, including AI platforms (e.g., Copilot, Omni AI), and willing to incorporate them into daily work.
  • Familiarity with media buying tools (e.g., Strata Freewheel) is a plus, but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Supports research efforts, including tracking competitor activity and monitoring opposing campaign spending.
  • Assists with negotiating and placing media buys with guidance from senior team members to maximize efficiency and value.
  • Helps coordinate the scheduling, trafficking, and delivery of media assets across platforms.
