Requirements

Bachelor’s degree required (Science or Engineering major preferred)
3D CAD knowledge is required (Solidworks preferred)
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written
Fiber Optics or Connector Design preferred
Plastics background a plus
Ability to travel
Computer experience including all Microsoft Office software programs

Responsibilities

Responsible for sustaining (future revisions, CAD format upgrades) of existing product design/drawings as well as existing manufacturing and customer product drawings.
Assist current and future engineering development work.
Assist in product design verification testing.
Assist the test lab (Resolute Technologies) with product function and reliability testing.
Be or become proficient in the use of SolidWorks solid modeling CAD software.
Create 2D and assembly drawings.
Perform drawing revisions (Initial Release and ECN) in accordance with ISO procedures.
Work independently with Operations and the SENKO manufacturing for any information pertaining to and/or for producing accurate drawing information.
Work with manufacturing and update models and drawing per feedback.
Work with senior staff on designs.
Design, setup and conduct testing to qualify prototype components and assemblies.
Assist with verification and validation of designs through testing and analysis.
Generate and maintain product specifications, data sheets and termination procedures.
Maintain and organize engineering documents in accordance with ISO procedures.
Store all engineering documentation in a safe and organized manner in the appropriate location (engineering server).
