About The Position

This role involves actively managing risk in real-time to protect the Firm and its clients. The Associate will be responsible for the timely allocation of a high volume of trades and associated journals, resolving any resulting economic breaks or fails. The position requires handling incoming queries from clients, custodians, prime brokers, sales teams, trading desks, and other internal stakeholders. Key responsibilities include trade reconciliation, risk reconciliation, and completing tasks related to business controls. The role also focuses on identifying opportunities for process improvement and automation, documenting procedures and process flows to enhance controls, and reviewing daily control reports to ensure accurate trade bookings and risk management.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Finance, Accounting, or related field and one (1) year of experience in the job offered or in a related role OR Bachelor’s degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Finance, Accounting, or related field and three (3) years of experience in the job offered or in a related role.
  • Prior experience must include one (1) year of experience (with a Master’s degree) OR three (3) years of experience (with a Bachelor’s degree) with: working with the overall trade booking lifecycle including Pre-Trade, Trade Execution, Trade Clearing, Trade Settlement, and the final stage of Position and Risk Management.
  • Prior experience must include one (1) year of experience (with a Master’s degree) OR three (3) years of experience (with a Bachelor’s degree) with: risk frameworks including trade and risk reconciliation.
  • Prior experience must include one (1) year of experience (with a Master’s degree) OR three (3) years of experience (with a Bachelor’s degree) with: Advanced Microsoft Excel including working with macros, pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and IF/AND formulas.
  • Prior experience must include one (1) year of experience (with a Master’s degree) OR three (3) years of experience (with a Bachelor’s degree) with: business analytics tools including Tableau or Alteryx.
  • Prior experience must include one (1) year of experience (with a Master’s degree) OR three (3) years of experience (with a Bachelor’s degree) with: re-engineering manual processes with creative brainstorming solutions coupled with an eye for automation.

Responsibilities
