About The Position

The Associate Manager, Mechanical provides leadership and technical excellence within WD’s Mechanical team. The role supports, directs, and oversees engineering associates while ensuring projects are completed successfully, meet high-quality standards and deadlines, and comply with relevant regulations and codes. The Associate Manager promotes collaboration within integrated teams of architects, designers, and engineers. WD’s Mechanical team is one of five in-house engineering disciplines, offering collaboration with professionals in electrical, structural, fire protection, and civil engineering. The role may be performed remotely from any location in the United States.

Requirements

• Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD is required.
• Experience managing teams that design mechanical systems.
• Knowledge of relevant codes.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering field, or equivalent knowledge gained through education and/or work experience.
• Professional Engineer (PE) licensure is preferred but not required.
• Experience working on restaurant, grocery, retail, healthcare, or similar projects.

• Lead the Mechanical team and provide technical direction.
• Support, direct, and oversee other engineering associates.
• Ensure successful project completion, high-quality standards, and project deadlines are met.
• Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and codes.
