About The Position

As an Associate Manager, Community & Belonging located in Birmingham, AL, you will be the primary architect of engagement for our Belonging Communities, responsible for the health, growth, and impact of our Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) and Affinity Groups. You will drive measurable impact through community engagement, volunteerism, and internal cultural alignment to ensure every member of our team feels they truly belong. While no two days are the same, you will serve as a strategic coach to ERG Leads and Executive Sponsors, lead the execution of cultural heritage months, and identify accessibility needs across company events, such as securing ASL interpreters. You will independently create belonging-related communications, review creative materials for cultural resonance, and track engagement metrics. Lastly, you will collaborate cross-functionally with the Social Impact and Culture teams to bridge the gap between internal belonging and external community impact.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in building belonging, employee engagement, HR, or community management roles
  • Deep knowledge of belonging and inclusion best practices, specifically regarding ERG structures and the unique needs of affinity groups
  • A "coach" mindset with a proven ability to influence and lead through others without direct reporting lines
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, with experience in internal communications or content creation
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple heritage months and events simultaneously
  • A data-informed approach and are comfortable tracking engagement metrics to tell a story about community health
  • Familiarity with or a commitment to learning about accessibility standards (including ASL coordination) to ensure an inclusive employee experience
  • Ability to build high-trust relationships quickly and can navigate complex interpersonal dynamics within volunteer-led groups
  • A self-starter who can navigate ambiguity and build processes where they may not yet exist
  • High degree of cultural humility and are committed to continuous learning in the belonging and community engagement space
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-growth environment while maintaining a focus on human-centered design
