About The Position

This role is responsible for processing and submitting ancillary product claims and cancellations, as well as performing file maintenance for various loan-related processes. The specialist will also assist members with loan inquiries and adjustments, collaborate with internal and external partners to resolve issues, and respond to credit disputes. Key performance indicators include achieving operational service level agreements and productivity targets. The role also involves performing quality assurance reviews, participating in projects to improve servicing operations, and identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • Minimum - High School or Equivalent
  • Minimum - 2 Years of Experience in Customer Service, Loan Servicing Representative or related

Responsibilities

  • Process and submit ancillary product claims and cancellations
  • Process file maintenance related to approved consumer charge-off accounts, member assistance programs, due date changes, payment adjustments, paid ahead loans, low balance loans, SCRA and other miscellaneous loan-related processes
  • Assist members with loan questions, due date changes, payment adjustments, paid-ahead loans, and other miscellaneous processes
  • Collaborate with multiple internal and external partners to resolve member issues
  • Respond to member credit disputes within compliance guidelines
  • Achieve operational service level agreements including individual and departmental productivity targets
  • Perform and document quality assurance reviews related to loan operations processes
  • Participate in new and innovative projects to improve efficient servicing operations and success of strategy
  • Identify continuous operational improvement opportunities and service efficiency initiatives
  • Recommend solutions, and participate in the implementation of agreed-upon changes
  • Adhere to and ensure compliance of all business transactions with policy and process of the Bank Secrecy Act
  • Ensures compliance with all applicable state and federal laws, company procedures and policies
  • Maintains integrity and ethics in all actions and conversations with or regarding credit union members and their accounts; complies with Privacy Act directives
