About The Position

This is a continuous recruitment posting for Associate Lecturer/Lecturer/Senior Lecturer positions in Chemistry or Biochemistry within the College of Letters and Science, School of Biology, Chemistry, and Biochemistry at UW-Stevens Point. While there may not be an immediate need, applications are accepted to build a pool of candidates for future part-time opportunities. Successful applicants will be considered for future per-course assignments each semester, with no guarantee of subsequent semester assignments. Teaching loads will vary between 1-12 credits per semester. While the position is listed as on-site, partially remote and remote opportunities may be available.

Requirements

• Earned doctorate in chemistry, biochemistry, or a related discipline.
• Experience in collaborative and/or inclusionary settings.
• Demonstrated commitment to student success.
• Experience and evidence of success with college level instruction.
• Eligibility to work in the United States.
• Successful completion of a criminal background check.
• Supply three (3) professional references/one (1) of which being a current or former supervisor.

Nice To Haves

• Preference to supply five (5) professional references/two (2) of which being current or former supervisors.

Responsibilities

• Facilitates classroom, online and/or laboratory instruction for one or more courses, including assessment of student performance
• Develops instructional design and curriculum relevant to a course of instruction
• Serves as an initial point of contact for students as it relates to specific course or series content and expectations
