About The Position

Hinge Health is scaling rapidly with over 1,500 employees globally, launching new products, and aiming to reshape healthcare for millions. This role focuses on keeping every employee aligned, informed, and connected to the company's mission amidst this rapid growth. The Associate Internal Communications Manager will translate complex company updates, such as strategy shifts, product launches, and organizational changes, into clear and compelling narratives. This position is responsible for shaping how a global, distributed organization stays connected and engaged during expansion. It's ideal for someone early in their communications career who is eager to lead projects end-to-end with guidance, develop their skills across various communication formats like Town Halls and All Hands meetings, and build cross-functional relationships to facilitate effective storytelling. The role is for individuals energized by the challenge of keeping a fast-moving company aligned and inspired.

Requirements

  • 2-4 years of experience in internal communications, employee communications, organizational communications, or related fields (agency or in-house).
  • Strong writing and verbal communication skills, with demonstrated ability to translate complex topics into clear, engaging narratives across formats (emails, Slack posts, scripts, presentations).
  • Experience supporting executive communications or employee-facing programs (e.g., Town Halls, All Hands, company announcements, change management campaigns).
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with strong attention to detail and the ability to juggle competing priorities.
  • Comfortable navigating ambiguity and adapting quickly in a fast-paced, high-growth environment where priorities can shift.
  • Resourceful and scrappy, finding creative ways to get things done without sacrificing quality when timelines are tight or the brief is unclear.
  • Curious about new tools and approaches, proactively seeking feedback to improve craft and treating every project as a learning opportunity.
  • Follows through on commitments, communicates proactively when things are off track, and takes ownership of work.
  • Builds strong relationships with cross-functional partners (People, Marketing, Leadership) and actively seeks input to deliver better results.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience at a high-growth tech company or startup, especially in healthcare, digital health, or mission-driven organizations.
  • Exposure to change management communications (e.g., org changes, policy updates, benefit rollouts) and helping employees navigate transitions.
  • Experience experimenting with AI tools for communications (e.g., drafting, editing, summarizing) and identifying ways to improve efficiency without losing quality.
  • Background in recognition or employee engagement programs (e.g., awards, milestones, team spotlights) that celebrate contributions and reinforce culture.
  • Passion for healthcare transformation and mission-driven work—bonus if you've worked in digital health or purpose-driven organizations.

Responsibilities

  • Support the production of monthly Town Halls and quarterly All Hands meetings, including agenda setting, drafting talking points, and managing logistics.
  • Deliver on quick-win projects such as crafting announcements, creating recognition moments, or summarizing survey debriefs.
  • Own end-to-end communications workstreams with guidance, for example, a product launch announcement, an organizational change, or a company-wide initiative.
  • Strengthen cross-company awareness by highlighting meaningful work, milestones, and contributions across teams.
  • Experiment with AI tools to enhance the speed, consistency, and clarity of internal communications outputs.
  • Act as a trusted partner to the People team, independently leading major workstreams with minimal oversight.
  • Monitor engagement, feedback, and sentiment signals to refine messaging, cadence, and formats.
  • Proactively flag risks or misalignment before they become problems.
  • Translate complexity into clarity and keep employees connected to the mission.

Benefits

  • Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage.
  • Help with gender-affirming care.
