About The Position
This is an opportunity to be the first attorney hire at a YC-backed startup transforming immigration law. The attorney will build the practice alongside a seasoned attorney and use AI-powered tools. The position is based in San Francisco and follows a hybrid schedule requiring three days in person and two days remote. Compensation is $150,000–$185,000 base salary.
Requirements
- Experience in business immigration.
- J.D. from an accredited law school.
- Active bar admission in any U.S. state.
- Experience with O-1, EB-1A, or NIW visa petitions.
- Strong legal writing skills for persuasive arguments.
- Ability to advise founders and engineers directly.
Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end caseloads for various visa petitions.
- Conduct client consultations on visa strategy.
- Draft, review, and submit petitions.
- Codify creative case-building methods into playbooks.
- Provide product feedback for AI-assisted tools.
