About The Position

The Associate I, Retail Sales Floor ensures the sales floor is well stocked, organized, clean, and presentable. The role includes bringing processed clothing to the sales floor, merchandising products, and assisting customers with responsive communication and excellent customer service. The associate also maintains the cleanliness of sales floor areas and restrooms, follows retail center and safety procedures, and may cross-train or provide backup in other departments as needed.

This is a part-time position paying $16.58 per hour. The schedule may vary and can include weekends, evenings, and holidays, with occasional overtime. The position is eligible for DailyPay. Part-time employees in the Retail and Sales/Operations Division are eligible for paid holidays, sick leave, jury duty, and bereavement leave. Employees may contribute to the retirement plan on a pre-tax or post-tax (Roth) basis; participants must be at least 18 years old.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• One year of retail experience is preferred.
• Prior visual merchandising experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Meet or exceed productivity standards, expectations, and applicable key performance indicators for assigned duties.
• Price products according to Goodwill standards for quality and value, researching item value online or using company tools and standards when needed.
• Keep the sales floor clean and organized by cleaning shelves and racks, picking items up from the floor, putting away merchandise from racks, carts, or baskets, and returning unwanted or returned items to their proper places.
• Merchandise sales floor areas to standards, including categorizing, colorizing, and sizing products; make decisions about product placement to improve the customer shopping experience and increase sales.
• Communicate targeted sales-floor product needs to the manager on duty to assist production.
• Provide excellent customer service to staff and customers, follow the 10-foot rule, and answer product questions as needed.
• Rotate or remove old or unsold products from the sales floor in a timely manner to refresh product selection.
• Identify and pull E-Commerce products from the sales floor.
• Follow retail center policies, procedures, and safety processes.
• Cross-train in other departments or areas and provide backup for other areas as required.
• Maintain the overall cleanliness of the sales floor and restrooms.
