About The Position

The Associate I, Retail Sales Cashier provides welcoming, timely, and professional customer service; assists customers with questions, concerns, and purchases; and helps maintain an organized, clean, and well-stocked sales floor. The role operates a computer-based point-of-sale system to ensure accurate product pricing and transactions, verifies till counts, and maintains a balanced cash drawer. The associate also supports the store’s roundup initiative by explaining its mission to customers, completes opening and closing procedures, follows retail and safety policies, and cross-trains or provides backup in other areas as needed. Duties may extend beyond those listed.

This is a part-time position at the Archer Store. The posting is open through 10/22/2026, and pay is $20.34 per hour. Open availability and weekends are preferred. The schedule may vary and can include weekends, evenings, and holidays, with occasional overtime as necessary. The job requires prolonged standing, bending, and lifting, and the physical requirements attachment details additional demands.

Requirements

• A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• One year of retail sales or cash-handling experience is preferred.
• Accuracy with numbers and general calculations, including understanding the value of coins and U.S. currency and using basic addition, subtraction, and multiplication.
• Ability to communicate effectively with customers, managers, supervisors, staff, and peers.
• Ability to operate a computer-based cash register and credit card machine.
• Ability to withstand prolonged standing, bending, and lifting for up to eight hours per day.
• Ability to see color for accurate transactions.
• Ability to work a varied schedule that may include weekends, evenings, and holidays, with occasional overtime as necessary.

Responsibilities

• Verify till counts, process accurate cashier transactions, and maintain a balanced cash drawer using a computer-based point-of-sale system.
• Promote the roundup initiative by engaging customers and explaining the mission it supports.
• Provide excellent customer service consistent with company values.
• Assist customers with questions, concerns, and purchases.
• Complete opening and closing procedures.
• Keep the sales floor clean and organized by cleaning and arranging shelves and racks, picking up items, putting away products, and returning unwanted or returned items to their proper place.
• Maintain a safe, clean, organized, and well-stocked point-of-sale area, sales floor, and restrooms.
• Initiate customer delight/power hour calls over the intercom to organize and clean the sales floor.
• Follow retail center policies and procedures and safety processes and procedures.
• Cross-train in other departments or areas and provide backup as required.
