About The Position

This role is part of Alcon’s Engineering function and supports the Critical Utilities team at the ASPEX Facility in Fort Worth, Texas. The associate will become a subject matter expert on facility equipment and utility systems, including HVAC, water generation and purification, steam and condensate, compressed air, chilled/glycol water, chemical mixing vessels/reactors, diaphragms, valves, piping, electrical systems, and other utility equipment. The role uses blueprints, sketches, layouts, wiring diagrams, drawings, schematics, and specifications to support facility operations and maintenance. The position performs inspections, maintenance, and repairs; operates utility equipment; conducts tests and reports data according to SOPs and GMP requirements; calibrates instrumentation; documents work in computerized systems; and responds to customer requests for support via radio. The schedule is Wednesday through Saturday, 8:30 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. Travel is 0–10%. Relocation assistance and sponsorship are not available.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Ability to fluently read, write, understand, and communicate in English.
Three years of relevant experience.

Nice To Haves

Journeyman electrical license.
Prior manufacturing experience.

Responsibilities

Perform routine, periodic, or special inspections to determine repair and maintenance work needed to prevent breakdowns of facilities, machinery, and equipment.
Use blueprints, sketches, layouts, wiring diagrams, drawings, schematics, engineering drawings, and specifications.
Repair, adjust, and maintain the facility.
Operate utility equipment, conduct tests, and report data in accordance with SOPs and GMP requirements.
Perform calibrations of instrumentation throughout the facility.
Document work performed in computerized systems, including Maximo, ProCal, Veeva, SAP, Workday, HSENet, and Team Center.
Respond to radio communications to support customers.
