Associate Financial Services Representative (Hybrid)
About The Position
The Associate Financial Services Representative provides customer-focused service by sharing information, fulfilling customer needs, and tailoring services to create an easy and seamless servicing experience. The role supports financial and billing processes, including insurance benefit verification, authorization, patient billing, payment collection, account research, and customer dispute resolution. Work is generally routine, structured, and transactional, with decisions made within defined parameters and significant questions or challenges escalated to more senior team members. The representative ensures timely and accurate completion of responsibilities for a single area or closely related tasks and performs related duties as required.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required.

- Associate’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and related experience preferred.
- 0–1 years of relevant experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Assist with verifying insurance benefits for services before admission.
- Obtain timely pre-authorization for outpatient and inpatient services.
- Address customer inquiries and resolve service issues, including researching and analyzing accounts receivable and outstanding balances; negotiating and advising on overdue bills and payment plans; collecting overdue payments; explaining financial assistance offerings; and managing and resolving customer disputes.
- Help coordinate inpatient billing.
- Support finance issues and ensure activities comply with applicable regulations and contractual obligations.
- Assist with patient billing and maintain pertinent records required for maintenance of certification.
- Help coordinate with nursing staff in planning and organizing program activities.
- Escalate questions, problems, and significant challenges to more senior team members for direction or subject matter expertise.
- Prioritize basic tasks and ensure timely and accurate performance of responsibilities for a single area or closely related tasks.
- Perform related duties as required.
