About The Position

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Associate Financial Analyst to join the Finance team. This role supports financial planning and analysis activities, including budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and variance analysis. The position calls for a strong foundation in finance, advanced Excel skills, analytical and problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and the ability to translate financial data into meaningful insights that support business decisions. The successful candidate will produce accurate and timely financial analyses, support reliable budgeting and forecasting processes, identify meaningful financial trends and variances, and help the Finance team deliver actionable insights that drive business performance. The role follows a hybrid schedule, with onsite work Tuesdays and Thursdays in Irvine, California.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, business administration, or a related field.
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including advanced formulas, pivot tables, lookup functions (XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP), and data analysis.
Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills.
Understanding of financial statements, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.

Nice To Haves

Experience with month-end closing, financial modeling, and management reporting.
Familiarity with financial systems, ERP platforms, or planning tools such as Business Central, QuickBooks, and Salesforce.
Experience with PowerPoint and presenting financial results to management.
Exposure to Power BI, Tableau, or other data visualization tools.

Responsibilities

Support budgeting, forecasting, and long-range financial planning.
Prepare and maintain recurring financial reports, dashboards, and management presentations.
Analyze actual results against budget and forecast, identify key variances, and communicate findings and underlying drivers.
Develop and maintain Excel-based financial models, spreadsheets, and analytical tools for business planning and decision-making.
Analyze financial and operational data to identify trends, risks, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
Assist with month-end financial reporting, accrual analysis, and reconciliation of financial data in partnership with Accounting.
Work with Finance and business stakeholders to gather inputs, validate assumptions, and update financial forecasts.
Identify opportunities to improve reporting accuracy, automate recurring analyses, and streamline financial processes.
Collaborate with Accounting and other departments to ensure financial information is accurate, consistent, and actionable.
Perform special projects and financial analyses as needed to support management and business objectives.
