Latham & Watkins is seeking judicial clerkship applicants for 2027 associate positions in the Restructuring & Special Situations Group, within the Finance Department. The Restructuring & Special Situations Group is one of the world's largest restructuring practices, advising a wide range of stakeholders in financially distressed businesses. They combine commercial insight with an understanding of innovative financial structures to develop creative and value-maximizing strategies in complex restructuring and insolvency matters. The team collaborates with other market-leading practices globally, including tax, M&A, private equity, capital markets, employment and benefits, and debt finance. They handle financial and operational restructurings, both in and out of court, including creditor compromise procedures, security enforcements, debt rescheduling, liability management transactions, exchange and tender offers, refinancings, new money and distressed financings, debt-to-equity swap transactions, equity capital raises, and strategic and distressed M&A transactions. They also advise companies and their boards on corporate governance, risk management, and fiduciary liability.
