About The Position

The Associate Field Deployment Engineer helps launch and operate Robot.com robot fleets at new and existing sites across the United States. This hands-on, early-career role involves setting up, configuring, testing, maintaining, and repairing robots and supporting equipment, as well as helping plan and execute market launches in coordination with engineering, operations, and partner teams. The role is full-time and welcomes new graduates and career changers. Initial training combines structured learning about the robots, fleet operations, and deployment procedures with field work alongside experienced deployment engineers; approximately 80% of learning takes place in the field and 20% through structured training. The position is based in Boston, Massachusetts, with work in a workshop and outdoors at delivery sites. The role requires travel to multiple U.S. locations and work in varying weather conditions. Schedules may include early mornings, evenings, or weekends, especially during site launches. Regular physical tasks include standing, walking, bending, kneeling, crouching, reaching, and lifting or moving equipment weighing up to 50 pounds. Robot.com may provide reasonable accommodations for individuals with disabilities. The hourly rate is $28–$30. Benefits include medical, dental, and vision insurance, paid time off, paid holidays, covered work travel with flights and lodging booked by Robot.com, and access to additional learning resources.
