Deployment Engineer

Anduril•Fort Collins, CO
•$126,000 - $167,000

About The Position

The Radar team at Anduril develops software-defined radar systems for air surveillance, counter-UAS, and counter-intrusion missions. These systems provide persistent, all-weather detection and tracking of aerial and ground threats and integrate with Lattice OS to support autonomous decision-making and multi-sensor fusion. The Mission Operations team manages customer account execution, growth, and success. Mission Operations Engineers work across product, engineering, sales, and logistics, own customer relationships, and plan and deploy Anduril products to meet mission needs. In this role, you will lead customer-facing deployments of radar and integrated sensor capabilities, guide site standups, monitor deployed system performance, and relay user feedback to account and engineering teams. The position involves working directly with U.S. military, DHS, and allied customers and supporting deployment across multiple operational locations.

  • At least 5 years of experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, electronics engineering, computer engineering, or a related field.
  • Willingness to travel 50%–75%.
  • Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity and experience working with materiel leadership or mission partners in Army Air & Missile Defense, USMC Ground Based Air Defense, SOCOM, DHS CBP, or allied defense organizations.
  • Working knowledge of the counter-UAS and air surveillance competitive landscape.
  • Basic understanding of radar fundamentals, sensor fusion concepts, or air defense operations.
  • Experience working in small, cross-functional teams to solve complex problems amid ambiguity.
  • Experience in high-stress environments, including field deployments or operational settings.
  • Self-starter who takes initiative with little direction.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as project manager and on-site lead, working directly with U.S. military, DHS, and allied customers to deliver radar and integrated sensor capabilities across multiple locations.
  • Lead a small team of engineers through site standups, from initial radar integration through operational acceptance, while interfacing with strategic end-users.
  • Monitor radar system performance, connectivity, integration with mesh networks, and fusion with other sensors and command-and-control systems at distributed sites and partner organizations.
  • Gather, triage, and prioritize user feedback on radar detection performance, tracking accuracy, classification capabilities, and issues found during fielding, testing, exercises, and operational use.
  • Provide account and engineering teams with input on radar features, detection algorithms, and UI/UX improvements to improve operator workflows.
  • Support engagement with units, commands, and organizations to expand radar deployment and installation across military installations, critical infrastructure sites, and forward operating locations.
  • Develop and contribute to a streamlined user-feedback and engagement system for radar operations, potentially including issue tracking, operator training and refreshers, and preparation for exercises and events.
