About The Position

The Associate Director of Strategy & Operations plays a critical role in operationalizing the UHG Impact agenda through best-in-class corporate reporting, executive-ready materials, and influence-driven storytelling. This role helps convert broad enterprise ambition into structured, actionable, and measurable outputs by ensuring leaders have the right information, narrative, and supporting materials to make decisions, align priorities, and communicate progress with confidence. The individual serves as a key connective point across strategy, reporting, content, and execution, helping bring greater rigor, clarity, and consistency to how UHG Impact efforts are represented across internal and external forums. This individual reports to the VP of Strategy & Operations and is responsible for translating enterprise priorities into clear, credible, and decision-ready reporting outputs, ensuring alignment with Executive Council, MBR/QBR, and broader enterprise stakeholders. The role requires solid judgment, synthesis, and executive presence, as this person will routinely shape materials intended for senior leaders and cross-functional partners with diverse priorities and levels of familiarity with the work. Success in this position depends on the ability to distill complex inputs into concise, compelling narratives; anticipate leadership questions; and create materials that not only report performance, but also influence direction, elevate risk or opportunity, and support strategic alignment across the enterprise. While contributing to broader strategic initiatives, this role is primarily accountable for building and maintaining the reporting engine that underpins UHG Impact’s measurement, governance, and influence model, as well as supporting enterprise mechanisms that mobilize UHG capabilities toward community impact. This includes creating the operational discipline, content structure, and cross-functional coordination needed to produce high-quality reporting on a recurring basis; supporting the development of strategic narratives that link progress to enterprise priorities; and helping stand up scalable mechanisms that extend impact beyond financial investment alone. Over time, this role is expected to strengthen the organization’s ability to demonstrate value, communicate outcomes, and sustain enterprise engagement in ways that are both analytically credible and strategically influential. The right candidate is highly strategic, financially fluent, AI-forward, deeply resourceful, and relentlessly action-oriented—someone who pushes boundaries, solves around obstacles, and knows how to deliver clarity without overcomplication.
