Reporting to the Senior Associate Vice President for Enrollment Management, the Associate Director provides operational leadership and day-to-day oversight of the Student Success Center at the Philadelphia Campus. This position advances students’ academic, personal, and career success by designing and delivering targeted support services, collaborating with student success partners across the University, developing community partnerships, and providing shared oversight of the Philadelphia Resource Pantry. The ideal candidate will demonstrate enthusiasm and drive to support student success and the ability to work independently while building positive, collaborative relationships with students, faculty, staff, and community stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • One year of professional higher education experience
  • Demonstrated proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook, Word, and Excel

  • Experience in student services such as registrar, financial aid, student support, student affairs, or advising
  • Experience working with diverse student populations including first-year, dual-enrollment, transfer, first-generation, and adult students
  • Supervisory experience
  • Experience using administrative software and student information systems

Responsibilities

  • Deliver student-centered academic and career support through individual consultations, workshops, and tutoring services in writing, research, library resources, and career development
  • Assess, expand, and adapt Student Success Center services to meet the evolving needs of Philadelphia Campus students
  • Coordinate and oversee Student Success Center programs, initiatives, and services
  • Maintain records, assessment data, and program outcomes to support continuous improvement efforts
  • Develop and maintain student-facing and faculty-facing resources that promote academic achievement and engagement
  • Provide high-touch operational support during peak periods and critical student service cycles
  • Collaborate with campus partners to align services, share best practices, and ensure Philadelphia students have equitable access to University resources and support
  • Coordinate academic support services tailored to the needs of a diverse student population, including first-year, transfer, first-generation, and adult learners
  • Recruit, train, supervise, and evaluate tutors and student success staff
  • Provide shared oversight of the Philadelphia Resource Pantry in partnership with the Associate Director of Operations, including coordinating daily operations, maintaining inventory, supporting student access to basic-needs resources, and ensuring efficient and equitable service delivery
  • Maintain regular engagement with University leadership and cross-campus teams to support staff development, communication, and the continuous enhancement of student success strategies
  • Build and sustain partnerships with local organizations to advance the University’s access mission through outreach, literacy initiatives, college readiness programming, and other student success efforts within the Philadelphia community
  • Perform other duties as assigned
