About The Position

Premier Development is a premier real estate firm specializing in high-quality new homes, luxury apartments, and active adult communities throughout Central New Jersey. As an established, rapidly growing industry leader, we are dedicated to excellence across land planning, design, construction, and long-term property maintenance. We are seeking an experienced, highly motivated, and strategic property management professional to oversee the operational and financial health of a dynamic regional multifamily portfolio ( 1,000+ units ). The Associate Director will champion site personnel management (Leasing & Maintenance) , resident relations, vendor procurement, community maintenance, and strict legal compliance across multiple teams.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of residential property management experience ( Required ).
  • Minimum of 3 years of proven experience supervising multiple teams and manager-level personnel ( Required ).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and hands-on familiarity with industry software such as Yardi, MRI, and/or On-Site ( Required ).
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with a strong ability to build rapport with residents and stakeholders ( Required ).
  • Superior organizational skills, meticulous follow-through, and a proactive problem-solving mindset ( Required ).

Nice To Haves

  • Strong working knowledge of residential building systems ( Preferred ).

Responsibilities

  • Hire, onboard, mentor, and supervise site teams and manager-level staff.
  • Manage employee relations, monitor attendance/overtime, and foster a high-performance culture.
  • Enforce company policies and maintain pristine property standards through rigorous preventative maintenance programs and frequent on-site inspections.
  • Drive high resident satisfaction and retention by ensuring the delivery of five-star customer service and swift conflict resolution.
  • Bid out, negotiate, and oversee vendor and contractor service agreements to ensure maximum value and quality.
  • Coordinate the apartment turn/make-ready pipeline, manage move-out processes, and accurately review and code accounts payable bills.
  • Maintain availability for weekend or on-call support during property emergencies.
