About The Position

The Associate Director of Permanent Supportive Housing provides oversight over all Permanent Supportive Housing program operations and supports, trains and supervises the team of Intensive Case Managers.

Requirements

  • Must have experience working directly with clients in the human services field.
  • Must have experience managing program funding, facilitating groups and providing supervision.
  • Must have excellent organizational skills to manage on-going projects concurrently with the flexibility to manage frequent changes, and excellent communication skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and ability to quickly learn new software and tracking systems.
  • Working knowledge of the impact of trauma, homelessness, and Motivational Interviewing.
  • Working knowledge of domestic violence, substance use and mental health conditions.
  • Must be willing to work in Metro Boston/North Shore and have reliable transportation.
  • Must be willing to work 9am – 5pm on Monday through Friday with some flexibility needed for meetings and supervising staff.
  • Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States.
  • Must be 18 years or older.

Nice To Haves

  • Bilingual Spanish or Haitian Creole a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure all individuals are served are treated with dignity and respect.
  • Ensure all services are provided in compliance with various funding sources.
  • Supervise a team of program managers, case managers and other program support staff. This includes hiring, training, team building, weekly supervision, and embedding principles and practices of equity, inclusion and belonging.
  • Ensure principles of trauma informed care are embedded in program operations.
  • Command full understanding of all PSH funding sources and contracts. This includes tracking program expenses and ensuring accurate invoicing.
  • Regularly audit client files to ensure all case notes and documentation is completed in accordance with program policies.
  • Compile program data for grant and fundraising opportunities
  • Build and maintain interdepartmental and community partnerships to maximize collaborations and service delivery.
  • Work collaboratively with the property team and clients to resolve any tenancy concerns.
  • Seek program growth and manage new contracted case management projects when available.
  • Meet monthly with contract holders to discuss client strengths and needs.
  • Represent HFI within the Contiuum of Care and other coalitions as assigned. This includes understanding all COC updates and requirements, completing the Annual Performance Reviews and the Housing Inventory Count.
  • Manage crises as they arise utilizing flexible approaches and a calm presence.
  • Other duties as assigned.
