About The Position

United Way of Greater Atlanta (UWGA) is undergoing a significant transformation to accelerate and scale its mission of driving sustainable and equitable improvements in the well-being of children, families, and individuals in the greater Atlanta area. The organization's core mission is to unite Greater Atlanta to create, amplify, and accelerate solutions that promote child well-being by addressing complex social challenges. UWGA's value proposition is to be the best-in-class investor in child well-being, aiming to triple unrestricted revenue by 2029 to eliminate barriers related to zip codes and hinder future success. This transformation will amplify UWGA's impact by increasing investments in solutions that create lasting change for Child Well-Being in Greater Atlanta. The Office of Development (OOD) is responsible for generating the philanthropic revenue that supports UWGA's mission. The Partnerships Team within OOD is crucial for cultivating and managing relationships with corporate and community partners. This team identifies and secures new business opportunities while nurturing partnerships that align with UWGA's strategic priorities. Beyond traditional workplace giving, the Partnerships Team collaborates with other OOD departments, including Major Gifts, Volunteer Engagement, and Donor Engagement, to offer partners and their employees diverse involvement opportunities, such as volunteering, marketing, and storytelling, ensuring personalized and purpose-driven experiences that deepen community connections and amplify impact.

Responsibilities

  • Strategize with the AVP of Partnerships to develop partnership plans for new partners based upon target research and corporate social responsibility priorities and goals.
  • Develop innovative strategies to secure new partnerships to support United Way of Greater Atlanta’s Child Well-Being Mission, focusing on Atlanta’s growing industries across United Way of Greater Atlanta’s 13 county footprint.
  • Lead and assist the strategy and activation for new partnerships.
  • Manage an assigned account portfolio with a focus on identifying partnership whitespace and develop multi-year partnership proposals.
  • Work closely and collaboratively with key stakeholders, including but not limited to corporate engagement leads, CSR directors, executives, and other key account volunteers to plan & implement partnership activations.
  • Closely monitor account portfolio and adhere to a timeline to ensure partnership activation items are executed in a timely manner, focusing strongly on customer service.
  • Continue efforts to amplify new partnership planning, that provides solutions to stakeholders’ business and community challenges.
  • Use strong attention to detail when reporting on partnership and donor information in CRM software, including but not limited to contact reports, employee count, UWGA involvement, company processing information, research & insights, workplace giving campaign start/end dates, etc.
  • Hold a strong understanding of United Way’s Child Well-Being Initiative and Agenda and be able to clearly articulate the mission and value of the organization.
