About The Position

The Associate Director of Hospital Partnerships and Operations is responsible for overseeing clinical partner relationships, hospital affiliation agreements, and regulatory compliance related to clinical education programs. This role ensures that institutional, regulatory, and operational requirements are met across all clinical training sites while maintaining strong partnerships with hospitals, preceptors, and clinical affiliates. The position provides leadership for compliance operations, manages affiliation agreements, oversees partner documentation and credentialing requirements, and ensures alignment between clinical partners and institutional clinical education objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with hospital partners and clinical affiliates.
  • Serve as primary institutional liaison to hospital partners.
  • Ensure clinical sites receive required documentation prior to student rotations.
  • Coordinate operational expectations between clinical sites/preceptors/hospitals and the institution.
  • Manage partner communication regarding program requirements.
  • Manage credentialing of preceptors.
  • Oversee the lifecycle of clinical affiliation agreements.
  • Work with legal in managing affiliation agreements and addendums.
  • Maintain a database of active hospital agreements.
  • Coordinate with legal counsel on contract review.
  • Conduct annual compliance audits of affiliation agreements.
  • Monitor contract expiration and renewal timelines with legal.
  • Ensure all clinical partnerships and operations comply with regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor federal, state, and local practice compliance regulations.
  • Manage NYSED and similar regulatory documentation processes.
  • Support accreditation reporting requirements.
  • Collaborate with compliance and legal teams.
  • Ensure student and site documentation meets institutional policies.
  • Monitor preceptor payment reporting processes.
  • Support financial reporting related to clinical sites.
  • Collaborate with finance departments regarding accruals and payments.
  • Oversee operational documentation required for clinical rotations.
  • Ensure required documentation is sent to hospital partners prior to rotations.
  • Oversee student credentialing and clinical onboarding requirements.
  • Oversee preceptor credentialing and preceptor onboarding requirements.
  • Oversee tracking of clinical evaluations and rotation documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with clinical examination processes such as NBME exams.
  • Monitor evaluation completion and reporting.
  • Provide leadership to staff supporting hospital partnerships and compliance operations.
  • Supervise programs coordinators and hospital liaisons.
  • Monitor operational performance metrics and service levels.
  • Develop standard operating procedures for compliance workflows.
  • Support staff training and professional development.
  • Oversee clinical partnership reporting and data integrity.
  • Maintain partnership and agreement databases.
  • Generate reports related to clinical partner performance.
  • Support accreditation and institutional reporting.
  • Analyze operational data to improve processes.
  • Provide coverage for clinical education operations as needed to ensure uninterrupted service to preceptors, hospitals, clinical sites, students, faculty and staff.
  • Support institutional initiatives and special projects as assigned.
  • Represent clinical education operations in institutional meetings and strategic discussions.
  • Perform other duties and special projects assigned by leadership.
