About The Position

The Director of Programs and Partnerships oversees all of the organization’s Girl Scout programs, collaborating as necessary with experts in respective fields to ensure that a variety of programs are offered across the district. The position manages a team of Program Managers who are responsible for program development, delivery, quality control, and evaluation. The role serves as a key external face of program partnerships in the community. At Girl Scouts of Eastern Missouri, most of our roles work in a hybrid capacity (in office, remote, and/or in the field). Details will be provided during the interview process. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Education, Child and Family Development, a related field or equivalent experience is required.
  • Five (5) years of program design, delivery, and evaluation experience, including experience in supervising a team and in budget management.
  • Valid state driver’s license, proof of insurance, and a driving record that is acceptable to our insurance carrier.
  • Strong people management and leadership skills, with good active listening skills and the ability to effectively motivate people.
  • Knowledge of budget management and development techniques and processes.
  • Ability to manage partner relationships.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs, integrated financial systems, and other general office equipment.
  • Strong project management skills and the ability to manage processes and meet deadlines.
  • Strong strategic planning and goal-setting abilities.
  • Ability to analyze and evaluate complex data.
  • Organized thinker with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbally and in writing, and the ability to speak and present confidently and credibly in public.
  • Ability to effectively organize and prioritize work as well as concentrate on multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Ability to work independently within a strong teamwork philosophy toward common goals.
  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced, dynamic organization.
  • Ability to travel throughout the jurisdiction to attend meetings and events during the day, evening, and/or weekend.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the design, delivery, and evaluation of Council programs throughout Eastern Missouri.
  • Manage the day-to-day workload and activities of the assigned team, ensuring that they are sufficiently qualified and trained to perform their duties to a high standard.
  • Ensure programs align with organizational strategy, the national Girl Scout program portfolio, and the needs of girls across age levels, communities, and participation models.
  • Oversee the planning and execution of major Council programs, events, and travel experiences, ensuring quality, appropriate staffing, and a positive participant experience.
  • Ensure programs meet applicable safety requirements, funding commitments, organizational policies, and documentation standards.
  • Establish the annual department budget and manage the day-to-day departmental expenses, reporting and explaining material variances.
  • Use participation data, evaluation findings, and member feedback to set goals, measure results, and make improvements to the program portfolio.
  • Complete all required documentation in an accurate, thorough, and timely manner.
  • Promote a climate of courtesy, respect, and professionalism to staff, volunteers, members, and the general public.
  • Serve as a collaborative team member, working to advance the mission of Girl Scouts.
  • Perform other duties as required and/or assigned.
