About The Position

The Baratta Center for Global Business Education is Georgetown McDonough School of Business’s premier hub for training future global leaders at the intersection of business, policy, geopolitics, and technological change. The role serves as the Center's external engine and operational backbone— aiding in building the corporate partnerships, alumni relationships, and Advisory Board infrastructure that elevate the Center's profile and fund its ambitions. This position also ensures the Center runs with the rigor, process discipline, and institutional coherence that a world-class center demands. The Associate Director position is a high-ownership, relationship-driven role with direct accountability to—and close collaboration with—the Executive Director. This role directly contributes to the University’s mission by managing strategic external relationships with corporate leaders and practitioners to fuel student-facing programming (such as treks, seminars, and internships) while collaborating with internal program and communication peers to translate partner updates and alumni stories into impactful content.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • 3-5 years of experience with business development, institutional relations, client management, consulting, or a related field relevant to the private sector.
  • Exposure to public sector, policy, or government environments, whether through work experience, graduate study, or sustained professional engagement.
  • Demonstrated track record of building and managing senior-level external relationships that generate tangible programmatic, financial, or institutional outcomes.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to draft compelling partner pitches, board briefings, and executive-facing materials.
  • Strong organizational and process management skills, with demonstrated ability to build and maintain operational systems in a complex institutional environment.
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Powerpoint.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with AI tools highly desirable.
  • Substantive knowledge of or professional engagement with geopolitics and/or international business is highly desirable.
