About The Position

The Associate Director of Admissions conducts and directs recruitment, selection, and yield activities for assigned application pools. All efforts are focused on optimizing applicant and advisor relationships as well as funnel conversion rates in the achievement of stated goals (headcount, quality, revenue, and composition). This is a highly collaborative position that leverages the work of academic partners, administrative partners, and Jefferson Enrollment Management colleagues to achieve goals. The Sr. Associate Director directly manages application pools while also guiding/managing other team members in the management of application pools.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct student recruitment activities including off-campus, on-campus, and virtual events/visits.
  • Conduct activity related to converting individuals from prospects to applicants and from incomplete to complete applicants.
  • Under the guidance of the Sr. Director/Director, determine selection criteria and design and implement application review and selection procedures including interviews & decision communications.
  • Conduct activity related to converting admitted and deposited students to enrolled students.
  • Working with the Sr. Director/Director, ensure that the flow of applicants through the enrollment funnel supports the stated goals; manage offer targets, waitlists, melt-indicators, etc.
  • Develop strategies to address assigned sub-populations (i.e. athletes, re-entries, cross-campus transfers, etc.)
  • Collaborate extensively with academic and administrative colleagues in the recruitment, selection, and yield of new students.
  • Directly manage employees as assigned and/or support the Sr. Director/Director in the oversight and mentorship of staff members within the team (includes hiring, onboarding, training, performance management); serve as the point of contact in the absence of the Sr. Director/Director.
  • As a senior member of the Admissions team, contribute to efforts related to planning, policy & procedure development, quality assurance & effectiveness, and team management.
  • Interacts with co-workers, visitors, and other staff consistent with the values of Jefferson.
