The Associate Director of Administration and Operations serves as the senior administrator responsible for the administrative and operational functions of the Office of Undergraduate Admissions. Reporting directly to the Dean of Admissions and serving as a member of the Office’s leadership team, the Associate Director provides executive-level administrative and operational support to the Dean and Senior Associate Directors while overseeing the systems, processes, personnel, and resources that support the work of the Office. The Associate Director manages and provides oversight for office operations, personnel administration, procurement, facilities coordination, administrative services, records and workflow management, and other operational functions. The position supervises administrative staff, establishes priorities and expectations, develops and implements procedures, coordinates office-wide projects, and identifies opportunities to improve efficiency, consistency, and service. Working with a high degree of independence and professional judgment, the Associate Director anticipates operational needs, resolves administrative challenges, and ensures that day-to-day functions are effectively coordinated across the Office. The Associate Director also serves as a primary liaison between Undergraduate Admissions and University administrative departments, coordinating matters that require collaboration with Human Resources, Finance, Procurement, Facilities, Information Technology, and other campus partners. The position works closely with admissions leadership and staff to ensure that administrative resources and operational processes are aligned with the demands of the annual admissions cycle and evolving departmental priorities. Through this work, the Associate Director plays a critical role in maintaining the administrative infrastructure necessary for a complex, high-volume admissions operation. The position ensures that the Dean, leadership, admissions officers, and administrative staff have the operational support, resources, and processes necessary to carry out the Office’s responsibilities effectively and to advance the University’s undergraduate enrollment priorities.
