About The Position

The Associate Director, GTN Strategy and Innovation role provides strategic support to the U.S. business (with a significant amount of gross to net adjustments “GTN”) and ~$34B of net sales, the largest BMS Commercial unit) by leading the Innovation pillar of U.S. GTN Finance. This role will drive automation, standardization, and technology-enabled transformation of net sales and gross-to-net accounting, forecasting, and reporting processes across Market Access, Brand Finance, and US Commercial Finance. This role will lead multiple strategic initiatives including close-acceleration projects, system integration, data pipeline buildouts, and adoption and integration of Anaplan and the Integrated Net Sales planning platform. This role will also support GTN Close and Projection activities during peak periods (e.g., quarter-end close, budget, and long-range planning), ensuring continuity across the broader GTN Finance team.

Requirements

  • Minimum education of a bachelor's degree in finance , accounting, information systems, or related field is required.
  • Minimum of seven ( 7) years of professional experience within finance , accounting, information systems, or related field is required.
  • Solid accounting/GTN understanding with a general understanding of the USA Pharma industry and healthcare industry.
  • Superior analytical and project management skills; comfort leading multi-workstream technology initiatives.
  • Superior interpersonal and communication skills; ability to influence across a matrix organization.
  • Working knowledge of SAP, Anaplan, Hyperion/OneStream, and Power BI; strong Excel proficiency.

  • CPA or Master of accounting preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and project-manage GTN Innovation initiatives end-to-end — including close-acceleration projects, data pipeline build-outs, and new system integrations — coordinating design, testing, and rollout across the accounting close and annual budget/planning cycles.
  • Serve as the business partner for Anaplan, own the roadmap, prioritize enhancements, and partner with the Anaplan center of excellence, external vendors and IT on configuration and support.
  • Lead the automation & process redesign to support monthly GTN insights & Close activities.
  • Lead the US GTN Legal Entity Acceleration Program (LEAP) agenda and support the transition to a new financial close/consolidation system, ensuring new tools integrate cleanly with existing monthly and quarterly close processes.
  • Lead reporting-tool integration efforts to build real-time GTN dashboards and reporting capability for close, projections, and budget cycles.
  • Research, evaluate, and pilot new technologies (AI/data analytics, automation tools , Claud ) to identify solutions to GTN business challenges.
  • Business partner with Market Access, US Brand Finance, MAx, and CASA on the design and adoption of new automated processes.
  • Maintain and update the internal control environment for all areas associated with gross-to-net as well as support internal/external audits and annual SOX process in partnership with the Business Controls group.
  • Support Close and Projection as needed — e.g., accrual sheet reviews, variance analysis, or dashboard-driven reporting — particularly during quarter-end close and peak planning cycles.
  • Act as a key representative for GTN US Commercial Finance across enterprise-wide automation initiatives, communicating strategic insights and implementation status to leadership.
  • Guide and coordinate contributions from Innovation-pillar team members (e.g., pipeline build-out, parallel-run validation, platform enhancements, integration testing) to keep initiatives on schedule.
