About The Position

The Associate Director, Field Learning & Development (FL&D) Vaccines reports to the Director, Field Learning & Development Vaccines and is based in Morristown, NJ. This role is responsible for supporting commercial training and development needs within the Vaccines Business Unit. The position involves strategic planning and implementation of product training and skill-based training through various methods including eLearning, live meetings, virtual training, and on-demand courses, with a strong emphasis on patient, customer, and science focus. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required (Life Sciences, Business, or Adult Learning preferred).
  • 3+ years of pharmaceutical, biotech, or related healthcare experience in sales training/Learning & Development OR field sales experience.
  • Proven communication skills with a well-developed ability to efficiently communicate both verbally and in writing with all levels of stakeholders.
  • Ability to influence, collaborate and interact effectively with a senior leadership team and multiple key stakeholders across sales and marketing to align on objectives and provide consistent FL&D direction.
  • Demonstrated excellence in project management and effectively managing multiple projects/priorities.
  • Ensure that all training programs are consistent with, and supporting of, company legal, regulatory and compliance guidelines.

Nice To Haves

  • MBA is a plus.
  • Experience in vaccines, and buy & bill is highly preferred.
  • Training experience strongly preferred.
  • Previous first line manager experience.
  • Experience in the vaccines market.
  • Sales launch, vaccine, and reimbursement experience strongly preferred.
  • Strong collaboration, organizational and operations skills.

Responsibilities

  • Develop with the Director FL&D, the FL&D function plan for the Vaccines Business Unit, including disease, product, and customer interaction capabilities training.
  • Oversee on-the-ground execution and deployment of training experiences.
  • Assist in the development and execution of comprehensive strategic and tactical plans to support Sales and Marketing objectives.
  • Manage implementation and continuous improvement of new hire training programs, continuing education, and advanced training for ongoing learning.
  • Assist in the definition and development of core competencies and create supporting tools, curriculum, and initiatives.
  • Develop classroom training programs, including customer interaction capabilities, disease and product education via live training, e-learning, and Webex.
  • Manage the Product Review Board process for sales training materials to ensure compliance with regulatory, legal, and compliance programs.
  • Develop field-based training programs, including field mentorships, coaching, and field assessment.
  • Establish and implement key metrics to track and communicate the value and impact of sales training and development initiatives.
  • Work closely with Sales and Marketing to ensure integration of sales and marketing materials into training programs.
  • Manage, design, and deliver sales training materials for National and Regional Sales Meetings.
  • Ensure budgets and schedules meet corporate requirements.
  • Select, develop, and manage relationships with key agency partners.
  • Provide strategic analysis and planning, managing demands from multiple internal customers.
