Working as part of a team, you will act on all elements of a deal from term sheet stage, through negotiation of transaction documents to closing and post-closing. Alternatively, if the brief is advisory, you will look to analyse the issue, drawing on the Firm's expertise resources, and prepare initial views and advice before engaging with senior colleagues. In either case you will interact with clients and with colleagues from the globe and across the Firm, and will need to be responsive to client needs and open to opportunities to grow your expertise and the business as a whole.
Requirements
- Mid-level New York qualified derivatives lawyer
- Experience in credit derivatives and structured credit transactions
- Experience in US regulatory regime and bankruptcy issues in derivatives, digital assets and related transactions and activities
- Good organizational skills
- Experience in transaction management
- Excellent academic track record
- Experience of cross-border work
- Excellent client relationship skills
- Experience of business development
- Attention to detail
Responsibilities
- Drafting of legal documents and agreements
- Review of legal documents and agreements
- Contributing to department know-how
- Advising clients and preparing formal legal opinions
- Leading negotiations with counter parts
- Matter completion and post-closing work
