About the position
We are seeking an Associate Data Scientist to join our team at OpenTeams. As an Associate Data Scientist, you will be responsible for collaborating with research data scientists to develop impactful AI algorithms using deep learning methodologies. You will also be involved in maintaining records of model development experiments, creating comprehensive model scorecards, and evaluating the performance of ML models. Additionally, you will work closely with ML Engineers and the MLOps team to deploy and maintain computer vision models. The ideal candidate should have a strong blend of computational and technical skills, along with a comprehensive understanding of computer vision and deep learning techniques.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate closely with research data scientists, using deep learning methodologies to create impactful AI algorithms
- Maintain records of model development experiments
- Create comprehensive model scorecards
- Evaluate ML models performance and analyze bias & equity to ensure responsible AI
- Collaborate with ML Engineers and MLOps team to deploy and maintain computer vision models
- Gather initial requirements, analyze clinical data, design and develop ML solutions, perform feasibility testing, and evaluate and interpret the results
- Other Duties as assigned
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Computational Biology, or related field (Master's degree or Ph.D. preferred)
- 2+ years of professional experience in data science or scientific software development/analysis with a machine learning focus, OR 1+ years of professional experience required with a Master's degree in a related field
- Proficiency in Python
- Experience with common open-source scientific computing/machine learning libraries like PyTorch, Scikit-learn, and TensorFlow
- Familiarity with common open-source containerization tools like Docker & Kubernetes
- Proficiency with cloud-native tools and services such as Azure Arc, Azure ML, and Azure Cognitive Compute
- Experience with model management tools like Git, HuggingFace, MLFlow
