About The Position

KAYAK, part of Booking Holdings, is a leading travel search engine that helps users find flights, accommodations, rental cars, and vacation packages. The company is also developing a corporate travel solution called KAYAK for Business. KAYAK operates a portfolio of global metasearch brands. This role focuses on commercial activities in North America, involving building and maintaining relationships with airline and online travel agency partners. The position requires using data and cross-functional collaboration to enhance performance for both KAYAK and its partners. The role is based in Cambridge, MA, with a requirement to work from the office three days per week.

Requirements

  • At least 4 years of meaningful commercial partnerships, account management, business development, or related experience.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Comfort working in Excel/Google Sheets and using data to inform decisions and recommendations.
  • Experience managing multiple projects of varying size and scope simultaneously, while prioritizing appropriately.
  • Ability to handle complex, multi-faceted relationships and collaborate effectively with both internal technical teams and senior commercial stakeholders.
  • Clear and confident verbal and written communication skills, including experience presenting findings or recommendations.
  • Ability to effectively liaise with both internal technical teams and senior members of the KAYAK commercial team.

Nice To Haves

  • Airline or travel industry background.
  • Familiarity with metasearch, e-marketplace, or price comparison platforms.
  • Experience with CRM or reporting tools (e.g., Salesforce, Looker or similar).
  • Prior experience contributing to business reviews, commercial reporting, or partner-facing performance discussions.

Responsibilities

  • Build, negotiate, and maintain relationships with partners in the flights business, including airlines and online travel agencies (OTAs), serving as the primary point of contact for daily needs and account development.
  • Maximize revenue generation from existing relationships and establish new partnerships to benefit KAYAK's product and users.
  • Identify and address content gaps in search results, and drive content optimization on KAYAK's metasearch platform to improve partner visibility, competitiveness, and conversion.
  • Analyze and monitor the performance of content on KAYAK and partnerships with third parties using business and user metrics, leveraging tools like Salesforce and BI tools to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
  • Measure product performance using business and user metrics, and create relevant reports for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Develop strong relationships and collaborate cross-functionally with KAYAK Commercial, Product, and Engineering teams to support integrations, troubleshoot issues, and prioritize improvements.
  • Monitor the competitive landscape of travel search sites, identify KAYAK weaknesses, and develop and execute plans to address them.
