About The Position
The Associate Category Manager owns an assigned product category from Uline’s catalog of business support products. The role supports new product development, manages vendor relationships, collaborates with Creative and Purchasing teams on catalog and digital strategies, and helps improve company profitability, product quality, and data accuracy. The position also mentors and supports Product Management Analysts. This role is based onsite at Uline’s corporate headquarters in Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin, and requires travel for trade shows and vendor visits.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree.
- At least 3 years of experience in Category Management, Supply Chain, or Marketing.
- Availability to travel for trade shows and vendor visits.
Responsibilities
- Own an assigned product category from the catalog of business support products.
- Research and source new products and vendors to support new product development.
- Visit vendors to understand manufacturing processes and attend trade shows to stay current on industry trends.
- Lead vendor negotiations and build successful partnerships.
- Collaborate with the Creative and Purchasing teams to develop effective catalog and digital strategies.
- Contribute to increased company profitability, product quality, and data accuracy.
- Mentor and support Product Management Analysts.
