Work Shift: 8 Hours - Day Shifts (United States of America) Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40 Compensation: Salary Range: $16.00 - $25.50 Union Position: No Department Details Clinic hours Monday-Friday, 0800-1700. No weekends or holidays. Summary Examines heartbeat patterns on electrocardiograph (EKG) monitors to detect any abnormal heart rhythms.

Requirements

• High school diploma or its equivalent is required.

Nice To Haves

• Certified Cardiographic Technician (CCT) certification, Cardiac Rhythm Monitoring certification (CRAT) or National Telemetry Certification (National Telemetry Association) encouraged but not required.
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists physicians in emergency responses to heart irregularities.
• Observes an electrocardiograph (EKG) monitor and examines heartbeat patterns to identify any abnormal variations in heart rhythms.
• Recognizes emergency situations and informs physicians so immediate medical action can be taken.
• Records the heart's electrical activities using an EKG monitor and checks the quality of recorded material.
• Orders and stocks supplies as necessary.
• Prints an EKG report, detailing a patient's cardiovascular condition, for physician interpretation and diagnosis.
