Requirements

  • Completion of secondary school or equivalent required.
  • Completion of a recognized Cardiovascular Technologist program required.
  • Member of the Canadian Society of Cardiology Technologist (CSCT) required.
  • Member of the Ontario Society of Cardiology Technologists (OSCT) required.
  • Experience in ECGs, Cardiac Stress Testing, Holter scanning, and 12 lead arrhythmia interpretation required.
  • Current BLSC certification required.
  • Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal).
  • Demonstrated ability to attend work on a regular basis is required.
  • Subject to any accommodation required by applicable human rights legislation, Cambridge Memorial Hospital requires that all staff have received all required doses of a COVID-19 vaccine approved by Health Canada.
  • The successful external applicant is required to provide the applicable criminal record check, as requested by Human Resources, in accordance with federal and provincial legislation. Valid criminal record checks are in original format and dated with two months from date of conditional offer from CMH.

Nice To Haves

  • Advanced arrhythmia skills preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Performs cardiac testing, including: Electrocardiograms, Stress Testing, Nuclear Stress testing, Holter hook-ups and scanning.
  • Has experience in 12 lead arrhythmia interpretation skills.
  • Ability to work efficiently and accurately with Physicians during test procedures and with staff in a team structure.
