About The Position

Our student and new graduate programs offer a chance to explore Sun Life from the inside. Reporting to the Manager, Business & Systems Analysis Chapter, the Associate Business & Systems Analyst can mix analysis skills, a strong technical aptitude, communication, and leadership to help build exceptional solutions. This opportunity is available to students with a graduation date of December 2026 or later. Term: September 8th 2026 to December 18th 2026 (4 months).

Requirements

  • A strong communicator who listens and picks up on the spoken and unspoken words to excel at delivering, understanding, and interpreting messages through verbal discussions and in writing.
  • An analytical thinker with an aptitude for problem-solving and interpreting information who can present it clearly and simply.
  • A collaborative team member who constantly looks for ways to improve the client experience, our team, and our processes.
  • An organized facilitator with the ability to guide and keep a group on track, ensure everyone is heard, while moving discussions toward the intended goals and decisions.

Nice To Haves

  • Solid working knowledge of Microsoft products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio)
  • A technical aptitude and curiosity
  • Completed equivalent courses or work term experience in Business Analysis

Responsibilities

  • Analyze and define user requirements and translate them into system requirements/user stories.
  • Review and provide comments to business and technical documents.
  • Partner with peers, business partners, vendors, leaders, and IT teams to help as needed throughout the project life cycle to ensure the solutions meet the expectations of our business partners and clients.
  • Build and keep successful relationships with members of the team and our business partners.
  • Join in continuous improvement initiatives to improve agility and delight our clients.
  • Contribute/grow our Business & Systems Analysis Practice.
