About The Position

The Associate Brand Manager plays a critical role in turning Nulo’s product strategy into commercial readiness. Success requires a creative problem solver who thrives in ambiguity, brings structure to complex projects, and has a keen eye for detail. Working closely with R&D, regulatory, operations, sales, eCommerce, creative, and retail marketing teams, this person drives timelines, dependencies, data accuracy, and launch readiness so teams have what they need to execute successfully. Experience in product lifecycle management is essential.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field
  • 4+ years in brand management, product management, or new product development, preferably within pet food or CPG.
  • Demonstrated experience in product lifecycle management, including managing innovation, renovation, or maintenance initiatives from concept through launch.
  • Proven project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple cross-functional projects and timelines simultaneously.
  • Quantitative and analytical skills required.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills required.
  • High proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.

  • Salsify or other product information management (PIM) experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Own project plans, timelines, and dependencies for innovation, renovation, and maintenance initiatives, including new products, line extensions, formula and packaging updates, and ongoing portfolio changes. Anticipate risks, resolve roadblocks, and keep cross-functional stakeholders aligned from concept through launch.
  • Manage products through each stage of the lifecycle, from development and launch through in-market maintenance and discontinuation. Maintain a portfolio-wide view of what is in development, in market, and being phased out so teams can plan with confidence.
  • Define and manage launch readiness requirements across functions, ensuring product information, packaging, regulatory, supply, and commercial inputs are complete and delivered on time. Provide clear handoffs to retail marketing, sales, and the brand team to activate each launch.
  • Own the accuracy and completeness of product information in Salsify and other internal systems, and ensure it is optimized for eCommerce and accurately syndicated across digital channels. Conduct regular audits of owned and retail platforms, including Nulo.com, Amazon, Chewy, Petco, and PetSmart, to identify and resolve discrepancies.
  • Serve as the central point of coordination for product information across the organization. Manage product setup within internal platforms and provide sales, retail marketing, eCommerce, creative, and operations teams with the accurate, timely inputs they need, such as product specifications, claims, copy, and imagery.
  • Monitor category trends, competitive activity, and product performance using syndicated (e.g., NielsenIQ) and internal data. Analyze findings to identify trends, opportunities, and risks, and develop insights and recommendations that support innovation, renovation, and portfolio strategy and decision-making.
  • Build and continuously improve the processes, templates, and tools that make product initiatives repeatable, from stage-gate workflows and launch calendars to data governance. Identify opportunities to streamline workflows and strengthen communication across the product organization.
