About The Position

The associate brand manager, Starbucks Merchandise, will be part of a dynamic and entrepreneurial team responsible for the strategy, creation, and bringing to market of innovative merchandise for US locations. This role supports the commercialization of promotional products of the Merchandise portfolio, as well as key strategic initiatives. The ideal candidate is nimble, proactive, analytical, able to multitask, and enjoys problem-solving with a focus on the customer. Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a role supporting marketing, brand management, product management, commercialization, or operations
  • Strong analytical/reporting skills with proficiency in MS Excel and PowerPoint
  • Ability to communicate clearly, concisely, and persuasively
  • Ability to balance multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • Ability and willingness to navigate change and ambiguity

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience working in merchandise product development and/or visual merchandising preferred
  • Minimum of 1 year of project leadership experience preferred
  • Minimum of 2 years of progressive analytical experience in product or marketing preferred

Responsibilities

  • Supports development of recommendations regarding product objectives and strategy, positioning, placement, and promotional cadence.
  • Assists in researching emerging trends and other primary and secondary forms of research with fact-based business insights to create sound strategic recommendations. Uses data and insights to tell a logical and compelling story.
  • Assists in development of business case for new programs to support growth strategies and profitability targets.
  • Assists in pricing strategy and analysis.
  • Represent Merchandise Team in cross-functional meetings, including Marketing, planning, and operations meetings.
  • Supports Merchandise commercialization process working closely with our New Product Introduction cross-functional team, including feasibility, operational, and product development reviews.
  • Assists in writing and development of product briefs for new merchandise, with a lens on customer, need-states, and business opportunity.
  • Assists in inputs for planning, forecasting, naming, marketing, pricing, and costing.
  • Supports delivery of products for each promotion, including product direction, backgrounders for marketing and store operations and input into supply chain requirements.
  • Manage promotional inputs and multiple reviews for in-store signage.
  • Manages product signage for all stores/markets.
  • Provides inputs and reviews partner training materials, including educational and training videos for field partner.
