About The Position

This role involves creating and analyzing complex financial models, performing scenario analyses, and using mathematical models and statistical techniques to analyze data and prepare reports. The Associate will work with industry coverage groups, interact with clients and internal Firm groups, and organize and prepare presentations on industry trends, client options, and strategies. Responsibilities include day-to-day interaction with bankers for financial exhibits, marketing documents, and information memoranda, as well as interacting with client executives to guide financial decisions. The role focuses on developing client relationships and executing financial transactions, particularly in mergers and acquisitions (M&A), divestitures/carve-outs, and capital raises for middle-market TMT companies, coordinating across divisions for client marketing and sales memoranda.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Finance, Financial Engineering, Industrial Management, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Three (3) years of experience in the job offered or a related role.
  • Three (3) years of experience creating financial models including leveraged buyout models, company operating models, three statement operating models, discounted cash flow models, public trading comparables, and precedent transactions.
  • Three (3) years of experience utilizing Capital IQ, PitchBook, 451 Research, Preqin, Tracxn, and AlphaSense.
  • Three (3) years of experience fulfilling client deliverables such as market updates and evaluation of potential M&A transactions and capital market transactions.
  • Three (3) years of experience coordinating with teams across the firm to provide financial advice to private and publicly listed TMT companies on complex financial transactions.
  • Three (3) years of experience developing financial model outputs and complex presentations related to business strategy and corporate finance using Microsoft Office programs (Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Three (3) years of experience overseeing multiple projects simultaneously with tight deadlines.
  • Three (3) years of experience analyzing regulatory filings (8Ks, 10Ks, proxies) and Wall Street analyst research reports.
  • Three (3) years of experience performing due diligence, research, analysis, and documentation of live transactions.

Responsibilities
