About The Position

USAA is seeking dedicated professionals to work in their Colorado Springs, CO office as an Entry Level Auto Claims Adjuster. This role focuses on adjusting non-injury auto claims under supervision, involving investigation, evaluation, negotiation, and adjustment of low complexity auto insurance claims. The position requires delivering best-in-class customer service by setting expectations, communicating proactively, and providing advice for appropriate solutions. USAA offers a comprehensive, fully paid four-month training program, including licensing costs and hands-on guidance, to prepare individuals for independent member support. New training classes begin monthly. After six months in-office, there is an opportunity for hybrid work (2 days offsite per week). Military veterans and spouses are highly encouraged to apply. Relocation assistance is not available. Training is mandatory and held in-office for the first 8 weeks, Monday-Friday, 8 am-4:30 pm. The post-training work shift is likely Monday-Friday, 10 am-6:30 pm. Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent experience or GED
Ability to provide exceptional customer service for our members by communicating clearly and professionally using multiple communication channels to process information related to auto claims
Ability to prioritize and multi-task while navigating through multiple business applications
Successful acquisition of an insurance adjuster license and applicable state registrations within 90 days of hire
Successful completion of job-related assessments is required.

Responsibilities

Acquire and apply basic knowledge of auto coverages, auto physical damage, and liability to evaluate and settle high volume and low complexity auto claims (e.g., simple comprehensive and collision, glass, roadside, and rental vehicle coverages for repairable vehicles).
Resolve claims through proactive problem-solving and decision-making within authority guidelines and under direct supervision, overcoming obstacles and effectively prioritizing workload.
Clearly document thought process, including damage evaluation, investigation, negotiation, and settlement decisions.
Collaborate with and set expectations for external and internal business partners to facilitate claims resolution.
Support members, business partners, and claimants through various communication channels, utilizing digital tools for timely and effective resolutions with exceptional service.
Acquire and apply foundational knowledge of Property and Claims (P&C) insurance industry products and services, including P&C insurance policy contracts, coverages, and internal claims handling processes and procedures.
Support workload surges and catastrophe (CAT) response operations as needed, potentially including evening, weekend, and/or holiday work outside normal hours.
May be assigned CAT deployment travel with minimal notice during designated CATs.
Ensure risks associated with business activities are effectively identified, measured, monitored, and controlled in accordance with risk and compliance policies and procedures.
