About The Position

The Associate Auction Coordinator represents Auction.com at live real estate auctions, traditionally held on courthouse steps. The role involves conducting, co-hosting, and otherwise participating in auctions; interacting with bidders; completing the tasks and processes needed for successful events; and educating customers about how to participate in auctions. The territory is centered around Kansas City, Missouri, with travel to auctions in surrounding areas, typically up to two hours away. Personal mileage is reimbursed over 40 miles per day. Travel beyond two hours may occasionally be required, and a rental car may be provided based on projected mileage. Weekly auctions are assigned by the Area/State Manager according to scheduling needs. The schedule is flexible and adaptable, with required training sessions, administrative tasks, and other opportunities to develop skills for additional compensation. Auction days typically require two to four hours, and work averages six to twelve hours per week, with hours fluctuating and not guaranteed. Training pay is $20 per hour. Pay increases incrementally after successful completion of positional training and as skills, proficiency, and responsibilities develop, within a stated range of $20 to $30 per hour. The position offers professional experience, a unique work environment without an office, regular training, recognition and referral programs, eligibility to participate in the Auction.com 401(k) program, and a travel pay policy to help compensate for personal vehicle usage when applicable.
