About The Position

Limitless Law PLLC is hiring an associate attorney for a long-term role involving estate planning, probate, trusts, and related transactional work. About 75% of the work concerns estate planning, probate, and trust administration; the remaining work involves real estate and business transactions for existing clients. The attorney will have client contact from the start, manage matters independently, and work directly with the firm owner for mentorship and support. The firm serves a diverse client base, including LGBTQ+ and ethically non-monogamous families, and often customizes planning accordingly. Business development is not expected during the first year. This is a hybrid position with regular time in the Bellingham office. Most matters are flat fee, while probate is billed hourly. Performance is measured by matters completed, client outcomes, and revenue produced; production goals are set together during the first 30 days.

Requirements

• At least one year of estate planning or probate experience.
• Active Washington State Bar license in good standing, or eligibility for admission in Washington.
• Strong drafting skills and confidence with clients in sensitive conversations.

• Small-firm experience managing matters from start to finish.
• Real estate or business transactional experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage estate planning, probate, and trust administration matters from intake through completion.
• Draft and advise on wills, trusts, powers of attorney, health care directives, and community property agreements.
• Handle probate filings, creditor claims, inventories, and distributions, and advise personal representatives and trustees.
• Handle related real estate and business matters, including deeds, purchase and sale agreements, and entity formation.
