About The Position

Tyson & Mendes is seeking an Associate Attorney to join its Philadelphia team. This remote role is intended for an attorney with insurance defense experience who is ready to take on substantial case responsibility, develop litigation strategy, manage discovery, take depositions, work with experts, communicate with clients and insurance carriers, handle motion practice, and prepare cases for trial. Case staffing is typically lean, with two attorneys assigned to a file, providing associates with early, hands-on litigation experience. The Philadelphia office handles civil defense matters in state and federal courts across general liability, premises liability, medical malpractice, professional liability, construction defect, product liability, and auto and commercial transportation. The role offers broad litigation exposure and access to experienced leadership, with an expectation that attorneys take responsibility for their work, communicate effectively, and keep cases moving. The position is remote, with no regular in-office requirement for the hiring group. The firm also describes remote, hybrid, and onsite work options. The role includes opportunities to develop professionally, receive training, and pursue a pathway to partnership.
