About The Position

The Associate Attorney will manage a diverse caseload from inception through resolution, providing strategic legal counsel and representation in court, arbitrations, and depositions. The role requires strong research, drafting, and litigation skills, collaboration with partners and clients, independence, and a commitment to meeting an annual billable requirement of 1,950 hours.

The position may be designated as remote, hybrid, or fully in-office depending on the role, office location, and firm requirements. Duties and responsibilities may change at any time with or without notice.

Requirements

• J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school.
• Active license to practice law in Texas.
• At least 2 years of experience in the practice group.
• Excellent legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills.
• Experience with administrative proceedings, depositions, and mediations.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
• Professional demeanor and strong client-relations and communication skills.
• Responsiveness, organization, and ability to prioritize multiple tasks.

Nice To Haves

• Additional bar admissions in Oklahoma and Arkansas.

Responsibilities

• Review files and analyze claims and causes of action.
• Conduct legal research and draft briefs, memoranda, pleadings, and appellate briefs.
• Represent clients in court, arbitrations, and depositions.
• Draft and respond to discovery requests.
• Retain and collaborate with expert witnesses.
• Prepare for and attend trials.
• Collaborate with partners, clients, and stakeholders to provide strategic and practical legal advice.
• Manage deadlines and assignments with ownership and independence.
• Meet the annual billable requirement of 1,950 hours.
