About The Position

We are seeking an Associate Attorney with 4+ years of litigation experience to join our Aviation and Transportation Practice Group in our Chicago office at Willis Tower. This role is ideal for a strong litigator with experience in products liability, transportation, or insurance defense litigation, who is interested in building a specialized practice in aviation and high-exposure matters.

Requirements

4+ years of civil litigation experience and an active Illinois bar license
Background in products liability, transportation, or insurance defense
Exceptional writing, analytical, and verbal communications skills
Interest in developing a specialized practice within a collaborative team environment
Ability to work independently and take ownership of their work

Nice To Haves

Aviation or transportation experience, or a demonstrated interest, is a plus
Some coverage experience preferred but not required

Responsibilities

Manage all phases of litigation, including pleadings, motion practice, discovery, depositions, and trial preparation
Represent clients in aviation, transportation, and products liability matters involving personal injury, property damage, and commercial disputes
Advise clients on regulatory, operational, and risk-related aviation issues, including familiarity with FAA regulations (or a willingness to learn)
Draft and negotiate complex contracts for aviation-related transactions
Participate in client meetings, depositions, hearings, and mediations (travel as required)
