Requirements
- Licensed in Illinois (Active and in good standing). Admission in surrounding states (MO or IN) is a plus.
- 1–5 years of experience in civil defense litigation, with a focus on:
- Drafting pleadings, motions, and discovery
- Taking and defending depositions
- Conducting legal research and case analysis
- Communicating with clients and/or insurance carriers
- Strong writing and advocacy skills
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- Team player with excellent interpersonal and presentation skills
Nice To Haves
- Admission in surrounding states (MO or IN) is a plus.
- Experience with mediations/arbitrations is a plus but not required
Responsibilities
- Manage a robust caseload with a focus on toxic tort (asbestos) defense
- Handle cases from inception through resolution or trial in collaboration with partners
- Participate in depositions, court appearances, and more
- Contribute to strategy discussions and case planning
