About The Position

Segal McCambridge, a nationally recognized litigation firm, is seeking a motivated Associate Attorney with 2+ years of asbestos defense or toxic tort litigation experience to join our New York City office. Requirements

  • Licensed to practice law in New York (required)
  • 2+ years of experience in asbestos defense, toxic tort, or related litigation
  • Excellent research, writing, and oral advocacy skills
  • Proven ability to handle motion practice, depositions, and client communications independently
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Team-oriented mindset with a proactive, client-focused approach

Nice To Haves

  • Licenses in Connecticut, New Jersey, or Pennsylvania are highly desirable

Responsibilities

  • Drafting pleadings, discovery, and dispositive motions
  • Conducting and defending depositions of fact and expert witnesses
  • Managing discovery and developing case strategy
  • Attending court conferences, hearings, mediations, and settlement negotiations
  • Communicating directly with clients, insurers, and opposing counsel
  • Assisting with trial preparation and participating in trial as needed
