Represent mortgage servicer and investor clients in residential and commercial foreclosure, title, and general real estate litigation, including consumer claims brought directly against the firm’s clients. The role includes appearances in state and federal court for routine and contested matters; reviewing incoming litigation and developing case strategy; drafting documents; conducting discovery, trials, and evidentiary hearings; handling state and federal appeals; and negotiating settlements. The position may be in-office, hybrid, or fully remote depending on the successful candidate’s overall qualifications. The attorney manages a caseload of contested foreclosures, defensive litigation, and related matters. Responsibilities also include analyzing loan files and title reports, communicating with clients, collaborating with support staff and partners, preparing budgets and obtaining client fee approvals, and tracking billable and non-billable time. The role may include supervisory responsibilities. The position requires a J.D. and a New Jersey bar license in good standing, as well as working knowledge and experience with New Jersey Mortgage Foreclosure Law and practice. At least two years of relevant litigation experience is preferred, though less experience may be considered for an otherwise qualified candidate. Other state bar admissions are a plus but are not required. The role is performed in normal office working conditions with quiet to moderate noise, though remote and hybrid arrangements may be available. The company offers a comprehensive compensation package with salary commensurate with experience and accomplishments. Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States now and in the future; the company does not provide employment visa sponsorship or immigration support.
