The Associate Athletics Director for Compliance assists the Senior Associate Athletics Director, Chief Ethics and Compliance Officer in ensuring compliance with all aspects of institutional, conference, and NCAA rules and regulations governing intercollegiate athletics operations. This role provides general oversight and is responsible for the day-to-day functions of the Athletic Compliance Office, including personnel, recruiting, playing and practice seasons, financial aid, eligibility, and NIL processes for all sports. The position also aids coaches and athletic staff in ensuring compliance, implements and maintains systems for communication, organization, documentation, and evaluation, and establishes dialogue related to compliance with various stakeholders. Key duties include coordinating NCAA eligibility requirements, serving as the primary contact with the NCAA Eligibility Center, overseeing the annual rules education plan, responding to compliance inquiries, formulating and implementing NCAA waiver processes, processing and reporting NCAA violations, and coordinating the monitoring of playing and practice sessions and time management regulations. The role also involves attendance and institutional monitoring, serving as a liaison to campus partners, researching rule interpretations, participating in NCAA rules education, utilizing the TeamWorks system, and participating in campus committees and professional organizations. The Associate Athletics Director must maintain knowledge of and comply with all relevant rules and regulations and manage sensitive and confidential information.
